The Giacomino's Restaurant Facade

Another Pluk Fiesta was held sponsored by Giacomino's this time. Together with the plurkers and bloggers of Gensan and Davao, everybody had a great time rediscovering the Giacomino's Resto of GenSan City. But before serving their delicious cuisine, let me introduce first its brief history.

Giacomino's Wall History states:

Giacomino's is Italian for "little James".
Signore Giacomino is an italian who first arrived in the Philippines during the early 70's. Charmed by the beauty of our land, he decided to stay from then on. Though he enjoys the local cuisine, he is often reminded of the traditional home-cooking of his mother. Forced to compromise, he developed a distinct line of Italian Pizza and Pasta dishes adapted to the Filipino palate. And so, our name carries a tradition of Filipinized Italian favorites served to you quickly and affordably. The franchise was named after an Italian gentlemen who was associate to the founder of Giacomino's.

Now, Giaco is serving the Generals for 10 years under the management of Mr. Rombar Bartolome together with his wife, Dr. Aimee. This couple successfully improved the specialty of Giaco which are the pizzas through adding palatable toppings and sauces on it.

While having our little discussions, the waiters served us their chocolate moist cake and later were the Ottima Pizza and Veggie Pizza along with the Iced Tea. Others had their Halo-halo though the temperature was low.

Giacomino's is indeed a one-of-a-kind and an oustanding resto here in Gensan. Despite of their yummy delicacies, the customers can also enjoy their free internet through wireless fidelity. There's absolutely nothing to look for if you want to grab some pizzas and more of their delicious cuisine.

Summer Shots

Summer's on the Groove! ...says on my leitmotif of today's season.

Summer is what I'm waiting for. After almost ten months of struggles on my duties as a freshy, happiness governed the all-of-me sensation. I can't wait to be with my love one's again from the time I wake up until I close my eyes, to be at home and never be alone, to see the smiling and loving faces of the people I missed so much.

Anyways, enough for that emotional thought. This time, I wanna share some pieces of my hardly-taken photos for this summer.

Toy Car. It was my Mama's Christmas gift to my Kuya last December.

Candle. It was black out and I was alone. To throw my cowardness, I took photos. =)

And..

Lately, I can't help myself but stared to nothing. I was running out of stuffs to do and it discomforted me. How about surfing the net? Well, my slothfulness just occurred. Who the hell in this country wouldn't feel slothful when the sun strikes to its highest amplitude? I guess nobody and I'm one. So to cover down all these vanities, I decided to roam around the bush of our own dwelling. And thank God for His priceless nature, I got these natural pieces.

Unknown. Anybody knows what's the name of this plant? Mom said its root is an onion. *whow*

Mushroom. These are just one but taken in different angle. I found it on our backyard and it startled me. woot!

Plurk Fiesta: Orange Bistro

March 28, 2009 - It was the day full of "first time" thingy.

The day before March 28, my plurk friends, Tanchi and Rammyboi, were insisting me to come with them on Plurk Fiesta at Orange Bistro. At first, I was hesitant to agree because I'm a shy person and I'm not use to it (being shy). But lately, I gave them a "yes," which meant I will come along with them. I immediately asked a permission to Sir Avel, through sending a private plurk, if I could join the said activity. He then replied saying, 'bring your laptop and camera.' So, that's it.

It was quarter to 3:00 pm when I met up with Tanchi and Ikang at KCC and rushed to the venue. The "first times" started upon arriving at Orange Bistro.

It was my first time to be at Orange Bistro. As you can see on the photos above, the place is so cool, pleasing to the eyes, comforting and magnificent. Everything was well-arranged and presentable. Every sides really fit to each other as how it was managed by Mr. Philip Teng, the owner.

Attending on Plurk Fiestas like this is my newest affiliation. It was a great opportunity to me cause I met new faces and at the same time I earned new friends. Even though I wasn't able to memorized all their names, I'm pretty sure I could remember them through their faces (I got a high photographic memory..haha). Anyways, it was nice meeting my plurkmates and co-bloggers. Before I forget, the head of Davao Bloggers was also with us, Mr. Blogie (upper left on the photo above).

After greeting everybody, Orange Bistro served us some of their dishes. These were Angel's Hair, Nachos, Dumplings, Pomodoro, Spaghetti Meat Sauce, Chicharong Bulaklak, Orange Bistro Burger, and Flavored Vegetarian Plate. Along with these was their Special Orange Iced Tea which has a good taste different from other Iced Tea. Afterwards, the sweet delicacies were served on our table such as the Carrot Cake and the one with a cookie in it (I don't know how it is called).

I proudly recommend to everyone to visit this one-of-a-kind dining area in Gensan with your family and friends. It is located at J. Catolico Avenue, Lagao. With their good service, delicious foods, wifi access and a pleasant place, there's nothing to look for if you want to unwind yourself and be relaxed.

Two Comedians Unite

Gensan is definitely on its peak of excellence!

It has been a month and a half since the admirable singer, David Pomeranz, had a date with the Generals last February 2009 on its 14th day at Lagao Gymnasium, General Santos City. People wholeheartedly welcomed the said singer on his Valentine's Affair. They witnessed the great remarkable performance of David Pomeranz who left melodies of memories onto their hearts as he melodically vocalized the pieces of each songs.

After that prestigious event, here comes another hilarious performance from the two famous comedians on TV. Pooh, together with K-Brosas, will be meeting with the Generals on the near future. Yes, you're not mistaking. These two brilliant entertainers will be having their show at Lagao Gymnasium, General Santos City. The show is entitled "Laugh Til U Drop!" which will occur on the 19th of April 2009 at 8:30 in the evening.

Let me give a brief introduction about the two outstanding comedians.

POOH became the newest comedy sensation on the year of 2007. He is also an excellent impersonator. In fact, he impersonated Manny Pacquiao, the Pride of the Generals, and was known to be Manny "POOH"Quiao. Together with Pooh is a comedienne-singer, Kakai Brosas or otherwise known as K-BROSAS. She is the famous lead singer of K and the Boxers.

The visitation of these two comedians on April shows that we, the people of Gensan, are so lucky to be visited by them. We are lucky because despite of the numerous cities in our nation, General Santos was chosen to where they will show their very own talents and skills.

So Generals, don't miss this! Buy your tickets now before it's too late. I'm pretty sure, you will enjoy and burst into countless of laughter as you witness this once in awhile event.

Jack's Ridge Escapade

Last February 16, I was with my mom, sis and my sis' bf at Jack's Ridge of Davao City. We had our dinner there then a little bit strolling mode.

Jack's Ridge is a resort and restaurant located at Shrine Hills, Matina, Davao City. It gives you a magnificent view of Davao Gulf's horizon. It is best viewed during dark time cause you'll really appreciate Davao's attractiveness. The shining shimmering splendid lights of Davao were so cool. And I guess it would put your stress off and be enjoyed of the night's horizon.

I have photos to share for you to give you a glance of the highly appreciated Jack's Ridge of Davao.

You'll see these three views as you enter the place.

This is the Taklobo's main entrance. It's the restaurant were we had our dinner with delicious dishes and desserts.

They are the Lumads whom was believed to be the first settlers of the place. It waas built beside Taklobo's entrance.

The first photo is one of the "tambayans" of the resort. While the second photo is the Karlo's Coffee Shop with wireless fidelity.

On My Way Home

Since the day before I was enrolled in a university at Davao City, I accepted the fact that my days would be on numerous trips taking back and forth from Gensan to Davao and reverse. I had took the risk of being exhausted after three hours from a trip. For so many times of transportation between the two developing cities, I already familiarized the places I passed by. Then there was one moment where boredom killed me softly. So to overcome it, I took photos which is my habit and also my passion.

Yellow Bus Lines. It's the name of the bus I used to ride.

Sulop Stop Over. The place where the nonstop buses stops for awhile. 10 minutes I think

So ironic. It is called nonstop bus but it stops. weird..

Passed By. One of the views on the way to Baluyan Road. This side is an overlooking of the dozens of mountains and a little part of the ocean's bluish white scene.

Baluyan Road. It's a zigzag road which I hated most along the way cause it makes me feel dizzy. *rrr*

The bottom line for all of these thoughts is that every time I'm going home, I don't think of the tiredness that may affect in me cause what I'm always thinking is I'll be meeting again my love ones. These are my family, friends and my special someone.

Yudee! And yes! I’m back to this world of blogging encountering lot of bloggers on their extravagant blogs!

Well, it’s really good to be back again after almost a month of struggles. There were lot of conflicts which made me decide to leave blogging for awhile. I got lot of reasons why was that so. So let me explain.

Although things were on that manner, I’m still visiting monster express to look for updates. For now, I’m gonna really start from number one up to infinity, hopefully.

Note: What I learned from that experience was losing no hope and determination to pursue what I really wanted.

"As long as there is life, there is hope." – a very common quote which is so true to all.

Clouds Over Horizon

Beyond nature exists the panoramic clouds. I know other people took those expressive clouds for granted. But for those who appreciates little things, like me, they dug up the deepest side of it as if everything what the eyes can capture has its own unique thoughts.

I have here different photo shoots of clouds beneath the skies on different horizons and sides.

Morning Impression. I took it standing on the 6th story of the school building.

Afternoon Shot. I had it outside our house while starring above.

Twilight Side. I took it before our math night class.

Sunset. I took it also before our math night class but on the other side of the horizon.

Clouds, as what I've said, are expressive in their own ways. If you'll notice how they are formed you'll truly be amazed of what it meant to express. Then you'll realize how magnificent the taken for granted thing by others.

My point here is don't take things for granted. Appreciate and give importance not only to things you needed but also to those simple silent one.

Gifts Last 2008

I know every individual, either rich or poor, received gifts from the family, friends and relatives. The gifts may also came from a classmate on a Christmas Party. It might also came from someone who's special to you. But take note, the gifts I'm referring to is not just the material things but also those came from someone's deepest heart, the abstract. This could be love and respect that may be enough to show how sincere the heart is.

No matter where the gifts came from and what the gifts are, we should remind ourselves that each has an embarked value to be cherished and to be thanked. To all who received gifts, be thankful because it's just an implication that there people loving and caring for you.

Like you, I also received gifts from people who painted colors to my life. For now, I'll show you the photos I captured the other day which are material gifts I had on the year 2008. Take a shot.

I Turned Eighteen.

Each figurine has a pair of wings which signifies that they are "angels". Maybe they'd given me that kind because I was named Angel.(Except the lady in lavander because she's from my precious cake.)

Group of stuff toys. These lacks two because I brought the them at my dormitory.

These are the assorted gifts and it lacks one, the bracelet. I lost it unknowingly. I just wore it and after the day I notice it left my wrist without notification. *Damn!*

The Girl Who Turned Eighteen

Last July 15, 2008 was the turning point of the girl into a lady. It was one of the most significant event in her life that she couldn't erase. She's so lucky to be able to survive on her eighteen years of existence in this panoramic world. She had been from ups and downs and so with from twists and turns. From everything she had been through in life, she was able to identify the right one from wrong. And all the things she had encountered were all her sources to move on to the incoming future.

She was just once a facile little girl who's trying to cherish every moment in her day. She easily laugh on the corniest joke and she even smile when people seem to scream on feet. She had met many faces from the day she was labored from her mom's tummy. Despite from her family's figures, she had also met lot of props in her story from kindergarten until she attended on college.

Life for her is just simple. For her, just be yourself and everything would flow fine. Just as standing to the front of the crowd is not easy for her. Yet she could able to stand with all her confidence by just trusting to herself and not pretending to be somebody else because she knew that she's unique in her own simple way.

Her life is so lovely, isn't it? Oh gosh! I think I forgot to mention her name. Ladies and gentlemen, the girl who turned to a lady, Miss Angel Mosqueza Ytac. And crap, it was difficult to recall everything about me before.

Anyway, let me share some photos during my debut last July 19, 08. I celebrated it on that day because it was saturday so that all my former classmates way back from high school can attend and so with my bountiful treasured friends. Here are the modified photos:

My Lolo's Birthday

Oh! It's the 29th of December and it's my Lolo's Birthday. He was already 78 years of age I think. I'm not sure with it. Anyway the important is I know it's his birthday. *haha! bad grandchild*. As to continue, we were invited, of course. I met my cousins and other relatives. We had our chit-chat and later on we grab for our evening's food. Unfortunately, in the middle of the celebration everything turned dark. Damn! Loss of current again. Too bad for wrong time. But it also gave me benefit because I was able to captured photos which was great on my eye's lens. I got two photos on it.

A candle placed outside the house. It really catched my attentiont that time. So I immediately grabbed for my pink digi cam.

My little cousin's toy. It looks cute because it twinkle like a star and has attractive colors.

The current loss didn't last. After couple of minutes, there was light again. We continued the occasion with laughters. Happy Birthday Tatay! *We used to call him tatay instead of lolo*

First Homemade Header

I didn't noticed the time that it was already five in the morning. I had spent my attention on this header graphic design for my obsessed blog. OhMahGod! I can hear our neighborhood's radio singing which means they are already awake. And me, making this one last post for now, is still awake with my eyes wide open. Actually I'm not yet sleepy but I have to because I'll be having a visitor later.

Anyways. Here's my first ever homemade header for my one and only obsessed blog. duh!

As you can see, I already applied it on my header. And there's still an existing problem that I can't solve. I've been through many trials and errors yet I'm still not successful. How dare ...! Will somebody help me? Just notify me if you're up to. Tnx! I'll truly appreciate it.

Logo Design

For me to expose my capability in the field of logo design, I accidentally joined a logo design contest last week. It was on-the-spot logo making held at school. But because of lack of time, the deadline for the logo design had been extended. It now due before the midnight of January 3, 2009.

There were two logos that were opened for design: (a) Chicco de Caffe - is the brand of an authentic Italian Cafe which will be located along Roxas Avenue, Davao City. Chicco means bean; (b) Kreios - is a holding company of the coffee shop business. The term means leader, master and ruler.

I made two logos for Chicco de Caffe. Here's my design.

So, how's my design? Is it acceptable? *Hehe*

Christmas Party Escapade

Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008.

We, the Z2 people, celebrated our Christmas Party in a very simple yet in a fun way. There was no exchange of gifts due to financial issues*haha*. The important for us were not gifts but yummy chunks!*wee~* Even though we did't have gifts yet we had food delights such as brownies, cakes, siopao, fruit salad, etc. Everything was really delicious that it made our tummy so full and then uttered some burps. *burp!*

Anyways. Couples of my classmates who were used to be my friends in college invited me to go with them at the Mall and have our sort of pictorials at Lito Sy Studio. I went with them after the mini party and proceeded at the said studio. The studio was just one of the stolls at Gaisano Mall. It was very formal and elegant in nature. Inside, there were great photographs hanged on the walls and it really amazed me how beautiful it was.

After choosing a best layout for us, we fixed ourselves to look representable in front of the lens. It took us about dozens of minutes in making our faces and gestures pleasing to our own eyes. Finally, we agreed to start the sort of pictorial. The photographer with his cam took lot of photos. in profession. First we did formal postures then suddenly turned to wacky. We did numerous of poses. The image below is one of them.*I modified it to make it livelier =]*

I wanna share my pair of converse shoes. My generous mom bought me this thing. I forgot when was the time she bought this for me. Actually I was with her and I'm the one who chose it,of course.

I don't have nothing to utter right now. I just want to share my pair of shoes. That's all folks!

Uncertained Clouds

It was Monday afternoon when I took a glimpse onto the sky. I was fascinated the way the clouds formed covering the monotonous sky. So I hurriedly grabbed for my pink digital cam and let its lens exposed towards the image.

The two photos below were being adjusted in terms of its level adjustments to make it more contrasting. I used photoshop cs2 in doing so.

The captured photos portray something uncertain to the eyes which caused me to name this post as "Uncertained Clouds".

It Has Been A Long Day [Part II]

yThe continuation.....

It was one o'clock in the afternoon, when I finally arrived at my beloved hometown. I took off from the bus beside the Phoenix gasoline station and headed to the numerous yellow multicabs in the front of KCC Mall. From that point I was able to reach my home which I missed so much.

At home, I met my grandmother alone at the house. My mother that time was out of sight because she was attending a kriska session on the neighborhood. But later on she arrived and we finally met each other after a week. I blessed to her and then we exchanged kisses on each others cheeks. (We used to it already since then)

I took some rest for almost three hours at home; surfing the net and updating my accounts on several sites. After those surfing and updating, I asked permission to my mom that I will be going to the city to meet my special someone and my loved friends. She agreed and then I bid goodbyes to her to grandma.

At the mall, I met with Ian(my ss).We watched the movie Bolt, a walt disney pictures by John Travolta and Miley Cyrus. It was fully awesome because of its 3D-animation. The movie was fabulous and it would really fits to children and grown-ups as well as to families. The movie was all about love, loyalty, trust to one's self and most of all about the value of friendship.

Anyways, let me go back to the story. After watching the movie, we went to the department store and there we met one of our former classmates. We talked for awhile and then separated ways. We moved out from the mall and we bid farewell to each other. We actually celebrated our eight monthsary just in a simple way but it was already the best for us.

Ian went home while me, I went to Dunkin Doughnut branch at the Pioneer to meet my treasured friends, the Apocalypse. I'm so glad to see them again and it fully filled my heart with happiness. There's nothing comparable whenever I hang out with them.(It really felt good to meet your special someone and later on your friends. Right?)

Instead of composing notes to describe the happenings during that night, it would be best to show the photos we captured and I will just add some captions to it.

It Has Been A Long Day [Part I]

Dec. 6, 08 - Obviously it's the sixth day of December. Nineteen more days and Christmas Day will bloom out! This day also is a special day for me. You'll know it later

Anyway.
It was Saturday morning, I have to rise from my bed and be ready for my three-hour history make-up class. (Damn it! Nkauwi n sna ako ng gensan nung dec. 5 kng hndi lng s make-up class n 'toh.) Anyways, to continue my day... After preparing myself for that damn make-up class, I left for school at eight o'clock with a classmate who's also my dorm mate.

We arrived at school and proceeded at Finster Bldg., Room 408. We waited for our history teacher for an hour and to our disappoinment she didn't came. So we decided to left the room and departed to each other's ways. While me, I got irritated of what had happened. *duh!*

I went back to my dorm and fixed the things I need to bring then I left. Then I rode a jeepney going to the Ecoland Terminal in Davao. When I arrived, there's a one-stop Holiday Bus to Gensan which is ready to leave the terminal but I prefered the Yellow Bus Line because it was a non-stop ride.

In the bus, I have to wait for three hours before I reach Gensan. Boredom was drowning me over so I decided to take some photos of mine.

There's no place like home.

Blue Jeans: The Apocalypse

I wanna share a music video which I'll cherish for a lifetime. This video is entitled "Blue Jeans" by kami nAPO muna and later on revived by Rocksteddy. I'm pretty sure that the song is obviously familiar. Anyways, this video was done during our high school days as seniors at school year 2007-08. It served as our project in our computer class. (If we were not required to submit such kind of music video, we don't actually have this one right now.)

Blue Jeans.
What comes first in your mind when you hear the word 'blue jeans'? For me, as the word strikes to me, I can remember Apocalypse(It's actually the official name of our 'barkadas'). This video serves as a treasure where our moments were reminisced. It maybe 'just a music video' for others but for us it's not. There are certain expressed things behind it that we truly treasure. It's the FRIENDSHIP we built and shared since we were in high school. Thus, the video really means a lot to us.

The Silhouette

This entry composes a silhouette image taken nearby the seashore during the crack of the dawn. It was at Dolores Tropicana Beach Resort, one of the known beaches in Gensan, on one of the days during my first semester as a 'freshy'. The occasion was a thanksgiving celebration for my elder sister who passed the nursing board exam last June 2008(not sure of the month).

The image shows a silhouette of the man's half face raising towards the gloomy skies with the suns splendid rays. I may interpret this one as a man tends to permit a view towards his gloomy future , strengthening his faith for him to overcome not only his obstacles in life but also those who may trespass him. The sun's monotonous rays represents the hope rooted on his character which is actually the reason to pursue his dreams. "Life's not easy, yet don't lose HOPE."

I took this images a few months ago. Actually, I uploaded these photos on my two friendster accounts. These were the pieces drawn by Ian Frondoza. I asked these from him and I immediately took some photos of it through the aid of my pink T70 sony digital camera. After I transferred to my computer, I enhanced its appearance using photoshop cs 2. First, I desaturate it then I adjusted the levels. So below were the outputs:

Tour to ADDU

I'm a freshman student of Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) under the Computer Studies Division. I enrolled at BS-IT (Bachelor of Science in Information Technology). I'm recently attending my second semester of this school year 2008-09.

Twilight Story

After a week of my first post, i finally manage to post another one again.

Anyways,I'll share something about a novel, 'The Twilight Saga', by Stephenie Meyer. It consists of four series of books. These are Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn accordingly. (I had already done reading the first one, twilight, just this morning). These kind of novels are adored by countless people because of its peculiarity.

The story flew on Bella's life, Isabella Swan is her complete name. Her parents separated since she was young. She grew with her mom, Renee, at the city called Seattle, whom married to another guy named Phil. While her father, Charlie, was living alone at Forks. Forks is a very small town that almost all of the adults there were said to be toddlers and the town was found to be the world's rainiest place(according to the story).

The story of Bella's life started when her father enrolled her at one of the schools at Forks(i forgot the exact name of the school) as a high school student. So she have to leave her mother for awhile. At Forks, in her first day of school, she was all alone until she found new friends. In that school also she found the man of her life, Edward Cullen, who was so gorgeous, handsome, and as if everything was in him.

Edward Cullen was an adopted of Dr. Carlisle and Esme. He has also adopted siblings namely Emmett, Rosalie, Jasper and Alice. All of them were vampires but they are not human hunters instead they hunt animals in the forest. It was Dr. Carlisle who discovered that there is an alternative food found in animals to sustain there strength. So, it was prohibited in their family to hunt humans. One thing also that the reason they live at Forks because it's the only place where the sun shines less for them to be able to expose under it without any harm in effect.

Well, 'till here. I guess shared a lot about the characters in this peculiar novel. As of now, I really wanted to watch the twilight movie on theaters. I'll try to compare it on the details I read in the book. I'm also deciding to collect the twilight saga even though I already have a copy of it being download from the net. For conclusion, I really love the story. It motivates me to read more books.

Gheltac starts blogging

I really don't know how to start this one. I'm just a newbie blogger. But I hope that I will develop my skills when it comes to what people called "blogging".

I signed up for blogger just a month ago. A friend of mine suggested me to do so. Actually it's not my first time to encounter blogging. I had a blog on my friendster account. But then I made updates just twice or thrice a month until I lost my interest on it. As of now, I'll try the best in me to become an official blogger. I'll do some posting as soon as possible and I hope that I can update it everyday despite of my school work/s.

I'm looking forward to all bloggers out there to help me improve my blog. Thank you!
